Cutting Tools and Working Conditions Selection

The selection for the metalworking inserts is oriented with application,the workers in the workshop search for the suitable cutting tools to machine different materials of workpieces,or the specified machining tools such as rough or finishing machining.However,there is better way to choose the tools that make the machining operation match with the manufacturer’s whole business. With this way, the first mission is to secure processing reliable and diminish unacceptable parts as well as unplanned machine stop. Generally speaking,reliability is point to respect with the rules.but if the workshop could not admit and respect cutting force,heating power as well as chemical strength’s influence on the cutting tools,it is incapable to take about the reliability,and tools problems instead of everything.

After establish of stable producing process,we should select the cutting tools basing on its performance and cutting condition,so as to achieve the metalworking goal.For example,when machine massive simple parts,it is first concerned to machine as big qty as possible with as low cost as possible.On the other hand,if machine complex profile but small qty parts,the reliability and precision control capability is much more important than cost,actually for this kind of parts,the fixing system has to accommodate to the requirement of flexibility.

If the cost is the fist goal,we have to select the cutting tools with each cutting edge’s cost,adding the working condition also has to match with the tools.Meanwhile,the machining parameters must consider long cutting tools’ service life and processing reliability.On the contrary,if the workpiece quality is the first concern,we have to select high performance precision cutting tools in the suitable cutting condition.Anyhow,no matter what the goal is, different group of goals is leading to different selection of cutting tools and cutting condition.
