Alumina ceramic with chemical equation as Al2O3,taking the Ni,Co and W etc into the carbonized ceramic as binder phase to improve bonding strength between the Al2O3 and carbide stuffs siganificantly.The Al2O3 cermaic is applied the most widely one because of its excellent properties,such as good thermal and wear resistant performance,stability in high temperature circumstance and difficuty to be mutual diffusion and chemical reaction with iron element.The Al2O3 cermaic cutting tools are suitable to machine steel,casting iron and other alloys with high speed,meanwhile,it is also capable to taking milling and planing work interruptly due to its improvement of thermal shocking resistant performance.On the contrary,it is unavailable to machine the alloys of alu,titanium and tantalum owing to be chemically weared easily.
