The Ways to Optimize Performance of Tungsten Carbide Cutting Tools(2)
Taking the gradient tungsten carbide substrate with super fine grain size,adding middle temperature TiN and fine grain columnar a-Al2O3 CVD coating,in the meantime,its surface is processed with stress-release technique that means to eliminate tension stress on the rake CVD face by means of shot-blasting process,making the tension stress decreased by 40% with the emerged Al2O3 coating surface,also a 20% down on its inner coating layer,resulted in significantly optimation of cutting tools' anti-chipping and peeling resistance performance.By this way,not only do improve the integrity and reliability of the cutting edge,but also make better surface roughness on the coating face,furthermore reduce the adhesion between the cutting tools and chips. |
