Thermal Conductivity and Linear Expansion Coefficient Different Between Cotegory K and P Tungsten Carbide Materials
Thermal Conductivity
As the thermal conductivity with TiC is lower than that of WC,thus the category P (WC-TiC-Co) tungsten carbide materials' thermal conductivity is lowr than that of category K(WC-Co),and it reduces as increase of TiC content.
Linear Expansion Coefficient
Generally speaking, tunsten carbide materials' linear expansion coefficient is much below to the high speed materials, meanwhile, the category P ones(WC-TiC-Co) coefficient is higher than that of the K ones(WC-Co),which increases with rise of the TiC content.
Because the WC-Co tungsten carbide materials' linear expansion coefficient is lower than that of the WC-TiC-Comaterials,adding the higher Transverse rupture strength and thermal conductivity with the WC-Co ones, resulted in lower cracking possibility than that of the WC-TiC-Co ones in the welding process.
