Yes Tool from Korea introduced “KRUZ tungsten carbide indexable cutting tools machining for holes ,which take hard phase with grain size as 0.2u+0.5u+0.8u mixed type and high cobalt(13%) super fine grain size substrate ,make the hardness and T.R.S of the substrate improve a lot, meanwhile with the help of indexable insert geometry structure which T.R.S near to the solid driller ,clamping method ,unique drill design and nanometer coating of TiN and TiAlN,not only this tungsten carbide inserts are available to machine the material from soft to hard ,also for the material which is very hard to be machined ,it is capable to show its excellent cutting performance .
Sandvik Coromant from Sweden newly introduced super-fine gradient cemented carbide grade for turning steel such as GC4225,GC4235,coated with TICN(MT-CVD) and fine-grain bar a-Al2O3 ,meanwhile its surface is taken after-treatment technique for eliminate stress that shot-blasting to eliminate the CVD tensile-stress exists(TiN) in its rake surface, make the exposed Al2O3 tensile-stress down by 40%,inner coating layer stress down by 20%,significant improve the inserts micro-notches and flake resistance performance .In addition , it improves the cutting blades integrity and reliability while improving coating surface finish, reducing adhesion between chips and inserts .GC4225 is available to cover 80% application area from rough to finish machining ,its service life could be prolonged by 60% comparing with common P25 inserts ,and working efficiency is up by 33%.It is preferred tungsten carbide grade for steel.
