The New Development of Tungsten Carbide Grade for Cutting Tools(2)
It is available to improve and strengthen the materials hard and adhesion phase by means of adding a few elements into the tungsten carbide, purifying grain boundaries and dramatically improving tungsten carbide substrate’s T.R.S and anti-impacting strength..Sumitomo from Japan introduced ACE series coating grade(AC700G,AC2000,AC3000),taking tungsten carbide substrate with Zr added ,which make the red hardness improve a lot. Hitachi introduced HG series coating grades(HG8010,HG8025) which is known as “Triple-layer Zr” CVD coating technology, its first-layer Zr is to add the Zr element into the tungsten carbide substrate so as to increase its anti-deformation strength in high temperature, its second-layer Zr is to take fine-bar Zr coating instead of common MT-TiCN coating in order to improve anti-oxidization performance, its third-layer Zr is to coat a while Zr onto the coating surface so as to improve the insert surface lubricant ,heat-resistance and anti-flake performance. The new coating grade has very good heat-resistance strength, and very capable to machine with high working-efficiency, comparing with traditional cutting tools, its working efficiency could be increased by 150%, and reduce machining cost by 20~30%. |
