The Function of Ceramic Diamond Wheel in Grinding Tungsten Carbide Products  
 
With the development of science and technology ,the new materials emerges constantly, meanwhile the machinery machining also develops with the trend of high-quality ,high-precision, high-efficiency and automation, the ceramic diamond wheel is applied more widely and its demand has been increased. The diamond wheel with ceramic binder has been used for machining high hardness and fragile materials such as tungsten carbides, semi-conduct silicon pieces ,PDC,diamond cutting tools, new engineering-structure ceramics,gems,crystals and magnetic materials.
 
The diamond wheel with ceramic binder integrated with a lot of characters like high-toughness ,good anti-thermal performance, sharp cutting edge ,high working efficiency, it is not easy to be heated and blocked in grinding process, lowly thermal expansion coefficiency ,good shape-keeping capability and easy to control process tolerance etc .By comparing with resin diamond wheel, it solves the problems such as low grinding efficiency ,bad shape-keeping capability, and grinding tools losing function itself etc
 
The tungsten carbide with high hardness ,good wear-resistance and anti-corrosion performance etc a series of excellent characters ,especially its high hardness and good wear-resistance .With the development of science and technology ,it is a trend that tungsten carbide materials shall replace high speed steel ,and widely used as the materials of turning ,milling , and shaving tools, even that some experts proposed the idea that “cutting instead of grinding” which require much more highly on the surface of tungsten carbide tools .
 
At present ,most of the factories are still choosing resin diamond grinding wheel to grind tungsten carbide products,although it is no problem to get the same ground results ,but with very low working efficiency.For the resin diamond grinding wheel ,we generally take 100~120 mesh for rough grinding ,for the ceramic diamond grinding wheel ,we take 120~150 mesh for that work,even higher metal removal rates ,we still can get better surface finish .The ceramic binder binds more solidly than the resin one ,meanwhile there is bigger stoma existing between the binder and grinding powder ,each stoma equals to the chip-volume space on a single point cutting edge .For the same grinding allowance ,the working efficiency of ceramic diamond grinding while is one time than the resin one ,meanwhile its service life is 2~3 times than it.
