The Promising Future for Nanometer Tungsten Carbide
The nanometer tungsten carbide has very good comprehensive performance ,not only with high hardness ,excellent wear-resistance ,also with very good toughness and tensile. It has been used more and more widely ,such as in PCB driller, precision mould fields. In the hard-process filed ,with the fast development of electronic information industry ,the demand for PCB driller is stronger and stronger ,around 25~35 million pieces a month ,and consuming 1800~2000 Tons carbide rods each year. Meanwhile ,the domestic demand is rising with speed at 140% and also 5% in the international market. For the cutting tools of cars ,only take reference of Shanghai Car Industry Group ,which consume USD 30 million top level and high performance tungsten carbide cutting tools equal to 100~150 tons tungsten carbide blanks.
The Nanometer tungsten carbide is the hot point with which every country is researching and developing. At present ,like Sandvik in Sweden, Kennametal in America,Plansee in Austria ,Forecreu in France,Toshiba,Tungaloy in Japan etc internal famous tungsten carbide manufacturers have produced the tungsten carbide products with grain size at 0.2um.Some scientists in our country also studied and researched in this filed successively ,and achieved great progress.
The development of nanometer tungsten carbide is a very significant revolution in this field, which lay very solid foundation for machine manufacture ,electronic information technology. We still have a long way to go to achieve the international advanced level ,which requires the joint efforts of all the scientists and engineers in this field.
