Tungsten Carbide Trends to be the Main Material of Cutting Disc
At present ,there are a lot of materials for the cutting disc such as 65M,carbon tool steel ,alloy tool steel ,high speed steel and tungsten carbide ,however ,in the coming future ,the material as tungsten carbide shall replace high speed steel to produce the top quality cutting discs due to its excellent comprehensive performance ,as following to detailed discussion of the different materials characters:
1)      Grade 65M spring steel with very good elasticity and plasticity ,this material is very economic and have good hardenability,low heating temperature, and easy to be deformed ,it is ok to be used as material of cutting disc for low requirement .
2)      Carbon tool steel with high carbon and heat-conducting performance ,however its hardness is reduced significantly once bear 200℃-250℃,its profile is deformed badly in heat-treatment and have poor hardenability,need long tempering time but easy to be cracked. It is the economic material to produce cutting knives ,such as grade T8A,T10A,T12A
3)      Alloy tool steel has better heat-resistance ,wear-resistance and heat-treatment performance by comparing with carbon tool steel, its heat and deformation resistance temperature ranges from 300℃ to 400℃.it is available to make top quality cutting disc  
4)      High speed steel has very good hardenability ,hardness and toughness ,high heat-resistance and low deformation ,it belongs to high tough steel with stable heat-plasticity and capable to produce top quality and super-thin cutting disc
5)      Tungsten carbide material with very high hardness, wear-resistance toughness, and long service life .It is mainly processed into the tungsten carbide cutting disc for cutting wood, paper and aluminum foil. Its thickness can reach as thin as 0.3mm, and diameter as big as 400mm .It is a trend that the tungsten carbide material shall replace the high speed steel to make the cutting tools definitely owing to its excellent comprehensive performances.
