What is the Current Situation for Designation of Tungsten Carbide Moulds?
Tungsten carbide drawing dies are the ones of comparatively simple moulds .In 1980s, we abided by Soviet Union’s straight-line designing theory, after that time, and some manufacturers took the new technique theory as “round and smooth transition”. In recent years ,our scholars undertook the theoretical analysis on angle designing and circle-groove wear ,proposed max and min drawing angle concept ,analyzed the metals under drawing and deformation process implement uneven wear mechanism .On the other hand ,they also took anatomy analysis on the cold forging dies of small-size screws ,and found out the secret why domestic-made moulds(2~4 million times) service life is shorter than the Japan-made ones(9~10million times),the key technique is in the designing that is the bottom contacting part of the Japan-made die core and mould sleeve hole with double-convex design. its strength is to make the center part which bear the max pressure tightly press ,meanwhile its around kept leave clearance for interference fit., stocking the excess metals extruded from the hole wall. The tungsten carbide concave mould for M12 screws designed by our factory ,designed from six hex to six flap insetting combined use ,its average service life is 500,000 pcs/mould ,the max one reached 1.2 million pcs/mould.Therefore,we believe this design is more reasonable ,on the one hand it saves tungsten carbide materials compared with the solid-design mould ,on the other hand ,it is assembled very simply ,at last ,it is very easily to be replaced ,one flap broken ,we can replace another one easily . |
